Athletics

WALDORF SCHOOL SARATOGA SPRINGS ATHLETICS

Our vision for after school athletic programs is to produce students of high character while providing an environment that encourages athletic, academic and personal achievement on a conference and club level.

Our mission is to exceed goals through our core values of Integrity and Teamwork. We will develop the academic, athletic and personal growth of student-athletes as we demonstrate our core values.

Waldorf School (WSSS) Fall activities include Cross Country running, Golf and Rock Climbing. Cross Country is open to Grades 7-12, Modified/Varsity, and competes in the WASAREN League. There are daily practices and weekly meets.

Golf is a club sport that is open to Grades 4-12, beginners to intermediate. The club meets once per week for six weeks at the local public golf course

Rock Climbing is a club sport open to high school students. The club meets for fall and winter secessions once per week for 5 weeks at an indoor climbing facility.

WSSS Winter activities include Alpine Skiing and Rock Climbing. Alpine skiing is a club sport open to all students of the school. The club meets once per week at the West Mountain ski facility and runs throughout the season.
Secession 2 of Rock climbing begins in the late winter/early spring

WSSS Spring activities include Outdoor Track/Field and Tennis.
Track and Field is open to Grades 7-12, Modified/Varsity, and compete WASAREN League. There are daily practices and weekly meets.

Tennis is a club sport, open to Grades 4 -12. The club meets once per week for a 6 week Instructional Program.

WSSS athletics are overseen by and Athletic Director are governed by an Athletics Committee which is made up of a volunteer board members, parents and coaches. The committees role is to expeditiously accommodate the needs of our sports offerings.
