Greetings from the Admissions Office!
The Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs is
proud to announce our 40th year as a private,
independent school. Founded by a dedicated
group of parents who wanted to bring
Waldorf Education to the community at large,
we are committed more than ever to continue what we
do best: providing an immersive, experiential, and
developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Arranged on three distinct campuses, we are the only independent school in the region that offers a full Preschool through Grade 12 curriculum. Our small size allows us to embody the principles upon which our school was founded and the values that inspire and support our curriculum and our work with students. We hold true to the tenets of Waldorf Education while seeking ways in which to evolve and fully prepare our students to achieve their highest human capacity of self-knowledge, self-reliance, and self-assurance.
Our curriculum is intentionally designed to meet students at each developmental stage. We build healthy social-emotional relationships, provide multiple experiential and immersive learning opportunities, offer full integration of art, music, and movement into academics, and prepare our students for a rapidly changing world.
Our students understand that they play an integral role in their community and in the world; not asking what they are to be given but what each can contribute in his or her own unique way. We are dedicated to making our education as accessible as possible–to open doors for all who want this education. We take our role of nurturing and guiding our students to be global citizens seriously. Our school intends to model for the students a community where diversity, equity, and inclusion permeate through our relationships, curriculum, and policies. It is of utmost importance to us that all members of our community feel welcome, are able to express themselves, are heard, understood, and supported.
During this unprecedented time, we have upgraded our facilities to increase health and safety measures. Our small class sizes, large indoor/outdoor classroom spaces, and multiple campuses allow for social distancing to reduce risk. Daily health screenings and temperature checks, hand washing protocols, wearing face masks inside and outside, and social distancing are incorporated into our daily routine.
