CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

UPDATES AND INFORMATION

On March 1, 2020, the CDC confirmed the first case of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in New York State.  Since then, cases of the virus continue to arise, and there have been several school closures in our state.

The Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs is closely monitoring developments regarding this virus. While there has not been a confirmed case of COVID-19 in our area, we are aware of concerns in the community about the potential spread of this virus.

The school is following guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), Saratoga County Public Health, and the New York State Education Department. If the school becomes aware that a student or staff/faculty member is diagnosed with COVID-19, it will immediately notify faculty and parents/guardians.

In the event that the district is ordered to close schools for any period of time, the Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs has a plan in place to continue schooling in various ways.  For more details on this plan, please review this letter, which was also emailed to our community.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, please feel free to reach out to Abigail Reid, Administrator at administration@waldorfsaratoga.org.
