Class of 2018 Takes Flight!

We're happy to announce the post graduate plans for our class of 2018 (pictured here with Mr. Beasly). We hope you'll join us for a unique and personal graduation ceremony on Friday, June 8, at 6 PM at the Canfield Casino. Congrats to our seniors! 

 

Isabella Guarnieri will attend the Sante Fe, New Mexico campus of St. John’s College where she plans to pursue pre-med studies. She was also accepted at Hampshire College, New College of Florida, and Eckerd College. Isabella converted a school bus to a mobile home for her senior project.

 

Leora Cohen-Tigor will attend the University of Vermont, where she also plans to pursue interests in the medical field. She was also accepted to Skidmore College, Clark University, Bard College and SUNY Binghamton University. Leora’s senior project was an exploration of American Sign Language and the cochlear implant.”

 

Dani Armstrong chose to immerse herself in the Italian language and culture when she selected her senior project “Illustrating Italian in Language, Culture, and the Arts. She had spent a previous summer attending the Marist University high school program in Florence Italy, and then selected Marist again as her final college choice. She was also offered admission to College of St. Rose, Manhattanville College, and Stonehill College.

 

Flavie Doyon will join Dani in attending Marist University in the fall, where she plans to study business. She also was offered admission to Manhattanville, Skidmore, and LeMoyne colleges. Flavie got a head start on her business career when used her senior project to develop her own all-natural, vegan skincare line for young adults.

 

Evan Sabatella chose to turn his love of freestyle skiing into a senior project short film depicting the history of the sport and interviews with athletes for which it is a passion and lifestyle. Evan will attend SUNY at Geneseo in the fall, having also been accepted at Champlain College, Hartwick College, and Keene State University.

 

Joonhee Seo applied her love of fashion and designed a line of re-purposed clothing for her senior project. The experience should serve her well as she returns to her native Korea will plans to attend Kookje Fashion College.

 

Nicholai Witt discovered a love of longboard riding while a student at WSSS and during his foreign exchange semester in Germany, using his interest to develop his own board design and brand for his senior project.  He’ll attend the College of Saint Rose in the fall, where he plans to study graphic design.
