Part-Time High School Math Teacher, Fall 2022

WSSS is hiring for a part-time high school math teacher. The ideal candidate has experience as a middle school and high school math teacher, preferably with training and/or experience in Waldorf education methods. The position teaches the 8th, 9th, and 10th-grade curriculums with 12 classes per week. There is potential for additional teaching opportunities for the right candidate. Part-Time Teachers Grades 1 - 12

We're always looking for part-time teachers for various subjects and grade levels. Current openings Include:

  • 1st Grade French  - 2 classes per week 

  • Middle School and High School Piano Accompanist - 2-4 classes per week

Guidance Coordinator

The Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs is looking for a part-time guidance coordinator starting in August 2022 to oversee the college application process for our Waldorf high school students. The majority of the hours are deployed between August and January to coincide with the college application cycle deadline.

Responsibilities and tasks of this exciting and rewarding position include:

  • Mentoring students and their families with prospective career and life choices after graduation.

  • Writing and managing student recommendation letters, transcripts, and portfolios.

  • Managing and administering the PSAT for sophomore and junior students, including facilitating all testing accommodations through the College Board approval process.

  • Monitoring of the Common Application database and other online admission portals, including submissions of all required documents such as transcripts and high school profile sheets.

  • Promoting campus visits, college fair attendance, and hosting school visits for college admissions officers in support of the student recruiting function.

  • Collaborating on behalf of students with college admissions directors.

  • Assisting in the financial aid process, if requested by families, and researching and obtaining local and national scholarships matching student interests.

 

Candidates should have a BA degree and experience in higher education, with experience in college admissions or counseling. We can provide additional training for the right candidate.
