Why Waldorf Education?

Awaken the living heart of Waldorf education at WSSS—where learning is artful, rhythmic, and rooted in the Blossoming of each child’s unique journey.

Unfold Rudolf Steiner’s developmental picture and see how our early literacy approach nurtures imagination, language, and a lifelong love for story and meaning.

The heart of the Waldorf method is the conviction that education is an art—it must speak to the child’s experience. To educate the whole child, their heart and will must be reached as well as their mind.
— Rudolf Steiner

Our beloved Waldorf School begins the 2024-2025 school year with a focus on educating the whole child from Early Childhood through 8th Grade. Important programs such as music, art, and movement enrich school life by providing new learning opportunities for our students, both academically and socially.

As we strive to meet the needs of the present, it is equally imperative that we take action to ensure our school’s long-term sustainability and success. Community support, in combination with the work of our talented educators and administrative team, creates and nurtures the vitality and inspirational spaces that are central to our school’s history and vision.
